Contrast Support for Node. 3x and Older

  • Updated
A new version of Node 4.0 was released on August 30. After this date, Contrast will discontinue support for versions older than 3.x.

What’s changing and why?

Node Agent 2.x is being deprecated to improve performance, accuracy, and first-time-use (FTU) setup.

What does this mean to you?

Customers still on Node version 2.x that require a supported version of our agent should update to either 3.x or 4.x:

  • 4.x is recommended due to its performance benefits and support for Protect.
  • 3.x  can still run, but there is a downside to performance, and it lacks support for Protect.
  • For those on 3.x, the Contrast service must explicitly be turned off.

Though it is not recommended, customers can remain on 2.x, but they will no longer receive patches.
