PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) deployments with Contrast Ruby agent failing

Fetching gem metadata from https://app.contrastsecurity.com/Contrast/api/repo/rvm/
Retrying dependency api due to error (2/5): Bundler::MarshalError ArgumentError: marshal data too short

Resolution

While our Ruby agent utilizes our own Contrast UI as a repo, it may be required to install our agent manually in environment such as PCF.

Some helpful notes on making PCF deployments work:

Have contrast-agent installed locally (to avoid the need for a rubygems source)
bundle pack to include the required gems
Manually wget the platform-neutral google-protobuf version
Deploy with cf push
