When will my .NET Agent auto-update happen?
Answer
The .NET Framework and .NET Core Agents can be set to automatically check for updates using the Agent upgrade service.
This can be configured to check for upgrades either on startup or daily.
Startup
If set to startup, the service will start with the server and check for updates, then if there are no updates, the service will stop. The service will then run again the next time the server starts.
Daily
If set to daily, the service will start with the server, check for an update, and then check every 24 hours from the startup time for further updates. The service will start this process again the next time the server starts.
